Getting Your Handwriting Engraving-Ready
Four quick steps to make sure your handwritten message engraves beautifully onto your stainless steel tag — clear, crisp, and perfectly placed.
Bold Pen. White Paper.
Write on plain white paper using a dark black pen or marker. Strong contrast between the ink and paper is what lets us cleanly capture your handwriting for engraving.
Two Lines, Evenly Spread
Your tag is oblong, so keep your message to two lines of roughly equal length (three only if absolutely necessary). This keeps the engraving balanced and centred.
Straight Overhead Photo
Hold your camera directly above the paper (no angle or tilt) and take a sharp, high-resolution photo in good, even light — avoid shadows falling across the writing.
Send It Our Way
Upload your photo directly on the product page when you order — or email it to us afterwards. We'll take care of the rest and prep it for engraving.

Handwritten tags are made with extra care and take a little longer — a clear, high-contrast photo helps us do your handwriting justice. Questions? Email us at hello@soltag.co.uk
